Description: This is for an original February 27 1940 issue of LOOK magazine with the beautiful Rita Hayworth gracing the front cover. One of the interesting stories inside is a look at the Lindbergh kidnapping trial eight years later. Almost everyone associated with the trial is shown, with a snippet if they are alive, dead, or in prison. What the big attraction is though to this issue is the two page cartoon of the American newly crowned super hero, Superman, defeating both Hitler and Stalin with relative ease. One of the more interesting things involving the cartoon is Superman’s usual attire has been replaced with red tights and a white shirt and cape. At least they were kind enough to give Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster credit for the cartoon. Magazine is in better than average condition with some slight spine stress and the feintest crease down the center which has almost disappeared. Also some very light staining here and there on the cover and some penciled numbers on the K of LOOK which was done at the news stand. All in all a nice looking book and a must have for the comic collector or magazine collector, or even someone interested in the Lindbergh trials. These oversized magazines rarely become avilable.
