Description: 1 cardboard box containing Tintex Jade Green still sealed in cellophane. This is the grey box that is recommended for cotton, silk, linen, wool and rayon. Manufactured by Tintex Company, Inc. Distributed by Park & Tilford, New York. Made in the U.S.A. No date given but this package is the same style package that was featured in 1933 advertisements for Tintex Dye.Found locally at an estate. Cellophane is in good condition and is wrapped tightly around the box, but there is a tear in the front and numerous dents/pin holes. The box has no rips or tears, but there are tiny 'eruptions' in the cardboard (front and back) and the front has sunk down. No color has leaked through the cardboard and the dye stills rattles when shaken. I have not unsealed the package to see the contents. As there is no guarantee as to whether the contents will work as intended after all this time, the package is being offered as a novelty for décor or filling a Tintex display case. Box is 3 1/4" x 2" x 5/8" Tintex Dye was created in 1918. All dyes and packaging are vintage items and sold…AS IS. I maintain a non-smoking, pet-free studio, but I have no control over where the items I offer at auction were previously.
