Description: Model A Ford Distributor - Rebuilt and Converted to Modern Internals This is an original Model A Ford distributor that will fit 1928 1929 1930 1931 Model A car or truck 4 cyl engine. It has been completely refurbished, including:complete disassembly and cleaning, base bead basted, primed and painted black (automotive grade paint).a new drilled shaft, cam screw also drilled for lubrication of the upper bushing, upgrade over factory.the short pigtail wire on the lower plate was replaced with a modern wire delete plate.modern upper plate installed with later style Ford V8 points and condenser, upgrade over original point/condenser design.non-functioning condenser installed in its original location for the sake of authentic appearance.distributor was reassembled and checked out thoroughly.this converted distributor will work well on either the original 6-volt positive ground electrical system or on the 12-volt negative ground system. From the outside, you cannot tell that this distributor has been converted as its appearance is 100% authentic. These converted original distributors are 100% reliable.
