Description: Up for sale today is a gorgeous 1922 $10 Gold Certificate with low 7 digit serial. This is one of the earliest printed of this series that lasted until small size notes were introduced in 1928. This is also a scarce dual variety. This is the Fr 1173am with Mule back and small size serial numbers. The front was printed with a 1922 plate, but the back was printed with a leftover 1907 plate from the Burke signature. Very unique as most Mules are within the same series, it is incredible to have a series crossover from a previous date. The very first 1922 notes were serial numbered with the small font used on the 1907 printing before they switched to a larger font. This Mule and Small Serial combo is a very tiny percentage of the printing and are quite scarce. This note also has the nice lower serial number. This note grades a nice Very Fine in my opinion with nice paper and bold colors. Not washed and faded like many of these have been. Please check pics and judge condition for yourself. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
