Description: 1895 Ellery Clark's C.A.O. Championship Trophy Mug/Cup. This Item Came Directly From The Ellery Clark Estate and I Will be Listing Three Other Trophies/Cups from Clark. Cup measures approximately 5" in height and the top is 3.5" in diameter Engraved on the front "C. A. O. Championship, 1901" Overall condition is excellent with a slight ding/dent to the right of the handle. Clark competed in the first Olympics of 1896 in Athens, Greece and was the first modern area U.S. athlete to win both the high jump and long jump gold medals. He was an exceptional athlete and was strong in the decathlon events including the 100 yd Dash.
