Description: Scarce 18th Century Meissen porcelain "Allegory of Summer" figurine, representing summer in the guise of a young boy or putto sitting on a pedestal holding a bundle of wheat and a sickle. All hand-painted, piece is unmarked. Measures just over 5" high x 2 1/2" long x 2 3/4" deep and is in overall good antique condition, note a repair to the sickle, breaks to the wheat, chipping to the toes on one foot, one side of the robe appears to have been overpainted, wear and chipping to the gold edging on pedestal, please see all photos.
