Hinges are worn, and while pages remain attached, the pages do not have equal support throughout. Plates have some toning, but are in otherwise in good condition and clear to see. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. Alexander Stuart Murray was a Scottish archaeologist, best known for his work on Cyprus. In 1867, Murray entered the British Museum for the Greek and Roman antiquities department. This folio provides a look into the terracotta sarcophagi that were available for viewing in the British Museum during the late nineteenth century.
