Description: I have here for sale a book entitled ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND by Lewis Carroll. It is a first edition of the Macmillan Sixpenny Series edition which came out towards the end of the 19th century. This one is dated 1898 and has 42 b/w illustrations by John Tenniel. Quarter red leather with black leather corners and green textured hardboards. Gilt lettering to the spine. Rubbed to corners and to spine. Boards firm. Small newspaper article about this edition of the book stuck to the front endpaper. Marbled endpapers. A few foxing spots to prelims and flyleaf, others clean and firm but sunned. 126 pages. 22 x 15 cm.
