Description: This is the OCTOBER 9, 1895 issue (see picture) of THE ECHO, a bi-weekly publication by the students of OLIVET COLLEGE, located in OLIVET, MICHIGAN. This magazine, 11 pages in length plus lots of advertisements, contains a wide variety of articles--including a recap of the 38-0 Olivet football win over Kalamazoo! There are lots of old local advertisements--from D. H. Fry Laundry in Olivet and the Olivet Photo Studio to L. A. Dudley Footwear in Battle Creek and the Chicago Grand Trunk Railway! This magazine is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and creasing from handling and storage over the past 129 years. It has been folded vertically, and it exhibits a curable slight musty odor from storage all these decades. Except for the original owner's name on the back cover, there appears to be no handwriting in the magazine. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Olivet College enthusiast, Eaton County historian, or vintage magazine collector in your life! Postage is $4.50. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
