Condition There is some slight discolouration, a couple of small spots of foxing, and a couple of faint creases at the left corners. There is some slight surface dirt to the mount. Overall in very good condition.Collection Information A very fine collection of watercolours painted from the 1830s to 1850s, likely by the same hand. The collection predominantly depicts landscapes and villages in the Western Alps, consisting of southeastern France, northwestern Italy, and southwestern Switzerland, with a particular focus on the area surrounding Lake Geneva known as the Swiss Riviera. The artist demonstrates a mastery of light and atmosphere, deftly capturing both the natural beauty and timeless grandeur of this part of the world.
