1809 Universal Letter-Writer: Polite Correspondence by Reverend Thomas Cook

Description: A 215 year old, 1809 copy of Reverend Thomas Cook’s famous: ‘New and complete Universal Letter-Writer; or new art of polite correspondence” A collections of writings as relevant today, perhaps even more so, than the day it was written. An interesting read and certainly a nice addition to any collection of classic literature. Especially for the price. The condition is acceptable considering it’s age. Part of the leather along the top of the spine is missing, as can be seen in the photos. While the book (namely the front cover) was in fairly fragile condition when I got ahold of it, I’ve since added a line of professional book-binding glue along the seem of both covers to ensure you can flip through and read/enjoy this without fear of it falling apart. The pages, as you might expect, are heavily toned. I’ve done my best to showcase condition with both the photos and here in the description.
