Complete in two volumes.In full contemporary diced calf binding.The personal copy of Roger Senhouse, noted twentieth century British translator and member of the Bloomsbury Group of writers, artists, and intellectuals, noted by his bookplate to Volume II. CONDITION In full contemporary diced calf binding. Externally, generally sound, with some light shelf wear and rubbing to the spines, joints, and extremities. Front joint of Volume I is starting at the tail and is very tender, and the rear joint to Volume II is starting at the head, and is very tender. Bookplate of Roger Senhouse to the front pastedown of Volume II, and residue to the front pastedown of Volume I, evidence of bookplate removal. Internally, hinges are strained, particularly the front hinge of Volume I. A few spots to the first and last few pages, and the odd spot throughout, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
