Description: WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS ABSOLUTELY LOVELY,ELEGANT LARGE SOLID SILVER, SUPER QUALITY, CHAMBERSTICK BY THE EXTREMELY RARE MAKERS THAT ARE,JOHN HYATT & CHARLES SEMORE.HALLMARKED FOR LONDON 1760.VERY RARE AS THEY WERE ONLY MANUFACTURING SILVER FOR AROUND THREE YEARS.THE BEAUTIFUL SCISSOR PADDLE CANDLE SNUFFERS ARE BY HIGHLY COLLECTED SILVERSMITH HENRY PLUMPTON OF LONDON AND ARE CIRCA 1761.This wonderful chamberstick measures app.10 cm in height and has a diameter including the handle of 18 cm,the snuffers are 13.5 cm in length and the pairing have a fantastic combined weight of 440 grams and are of a heavy gauge of silver.This beautiful chamberstick is in very good antique condition and of wonderful quality having only very minor wear and tear that you should reasonably expect to see on a piece of this age and type given that it is 258 years old....STUNNING!The lovely snuffers are beautifully decorated and have a very old,but very solid repair which isn't evident when displayed. All in all,a very scarce find and one for the serious collector.Very,very,elegant indeed and would be a wonderful gift or treat for yourself.
