Description: Offered up for sale is the pictured set of Shimazu Clan porcelain trios in a millefleur or “1000 Flower” pattern. These pieces were obtained at a 5 generation estate sale that had objects from the Pacific War and souvenirs from the Occupation. While I cannot read Japanese I did a little research and the cross in circle mark is from the Shimazu clan. These pieces date from either the Meiji, Taishō or early Shōwa eras. The design is gorgeous and it’s rare to find a matching set like this. They’re in very good condition showing no damage or repairs. The do show crackling to the under glaze and a couple surface scratches. Still the present beautifully. All twelve pieces are offered indivisibly. Please view all photographs and message me with any questions. Properly packaged and shipped securely via USPS ground advantage and is included in the purchase price.
